Rugs

Now the daffodils are starting to appear and the days are much brighter for longer, it’s the time of year when everyone starts to “spring clean”.

So if you are like me, I start to go through the wardrobes, bag up all the old clothes and the clothes that the children have outgrown and take them to my local charity shop to make room for all the summer clothes.

I also like to go through the house with hoover in hand and hoover every single nook and cranny destroying any cobwebs that may have appeared or any spec of dust that’s visible!

I move the beds, sofas, sideboards everything and hang the rugs out on the line and beat them with a stick like they did in the old days to get rid of all the dust.

Stripping the bathrooms of all its contents is another job on the list and replacing all the towels with nice fluffy new ones.

I love the summer and have always been a summer girl so this time of the year is certainly my favourite.  I try and get the house in tip top shape as when the days become much warmer I would far rather be spending my time outside then inside cleaning!
