Accessorising Your Bathroom

Bathrooms should no longer be the dull room in the house as they are a functional space for you to get ready in for the day ahead and also to relax in after a long day’s work.

If you are lucky enough to have had your bathroom refitted, no doubt you are or have been on the hunt for new accessories to complete the room and give it the finishing touch it deserves.

By introducing new accessories such as toothbrush holders, soap dispensers, towels and bath mats, you can really give your bathroom the wow factor.  Make sure you choose a practical blind for the window too that can be wiped clean as the steam in the bathroom could cause it to become damp and mouldy in places.

Whether you’re new walls are painted or have been tiled from floor to ceiling, pick your accessories in a nice contrasting colour which will bring the whole room together nicely.

Just because it’s the bathroom it doesn’t mean that you can’t hang pictures on the walls.  The majority of bathrooms have at least one wall that is blank so hang a one picture, a selection of pictures or maybe if you have framed feet imprints of the children, you could hang these in the room.

If it’s an en-suite bathroom you have had re-fitted, why not carry the colour through and tie in quilt covers and cushions and other accessories as this will also add to the feeling of space when flowing from one room to another.

A bathroom that is minimally furnished reflects space, air and peacefulness so make sure you accessorise your bathroom right so you can enjoy many long bubbly soaks in your new bathroom!
